a single-day project
Just beyond the skyscrapers of Pittsburgh lies the Strip District, a tight-knit community highlighted by hard work, diversity, and authentic interactions. Over the course of a single afternoon, fascinated by mutual trust, I approached strangers in public spaces and asked if I could direct them into scenes inspired by my love of cinema. I incorporated my knowledge of color theory, mostly analogous, to help drive this narrative into each photograph. Each photograph captures a spontaneous act of consent, a negotiation of curiosity and vulnerability between two people who had never met. I was more than fortunate to be able to take photographs of 20 people in total.
